Founded in 2002, MultiSteel is a family-owned steel security specialist based in London. From design and fabrication to installation, we provide a fully in-house service—trusted by housing authorities, contractors and private clients across the UK.

A foundation built on craft and purpose

Managing Director James Horan began his career with a four-year steel fabrication apprenticeship, followed by a degree in mechanical engineering. After leading infrastructure projects in New York and overseeing high-security door installations for the UK prison service, he returned to London and acquired a specialist steel firm—laying the groundwork for MultiSteel.

Together with his brother Terry, James has grown MultiSteel into one of London’s most trusted names in steel security. Their hands-on approach and commitment to precision continue to define the way we work—combining traditional craftsmanship with fully in-house production and installation.

From secure communal entrance systems and estate-wide gate upgrades to listed-building compliant doors with heritage detailing, MultiSteel has become a trusted partner across sectors. We work closely with local authorities, Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, public sector organisations and high-profile private clients.

All systems are manufactured at our Harrow facility by ISO-certified teams and designed to meet the highest standards of durability, compliance and architectural integrity—ensuring they perform under pressure and stand the test of time.
